Police to prosecute 20 rubberneckers for filming aftermath of horrific crash when truck crashed Audi on two-lane road

Police have warned 20 ‘rubberneckers’ that they will be fined after filming the aftermath of a horror crash on their mobiles as they pass by.
Cops blasted drivers after spotting grabbing their phones to capture the wreckage with one hand on the wheel.
Emergency services rushed to the scene on the A13 in Thurrock, Essex, where an Audi car had been hit by a heavy truck, causing it to crash into a flatbed truck.

One person was injured and was taken to Queen’s Hospital in Romford after the collision. It is not believed that their condition was serious.
The accident caused long queues on the nearby A13 and M25, which resulted in the road being closed for much of the day.
Essex Police have now released a new photo of the incident showing the involved car stuck under a truck ahead.
“ To the 20 or so drivers who drove with one hand to film it with your phones not looking at the road ahead, keep an eye on your (emoji mailbox) … because we’ll be in touch ” , said the force.
And the force also issued a stern warning to drivers who they said used their phones to film the incident behind the wheel as they passed by.
“ Fortunately, the driver of this car struck from behind by a heavy truck on the A13 earlier was not seriously injured, ” the South Essex Roads Police Unit said in a tweet.
“ To the 20 or so drivers who drove with one hand to film it with your phones not looking at the road ahead, keep an eye out for your (mailbox emoji) … as we will be in contact.
Last month, a 25-year-old man died in an accident on the nearby A1089 shortly before he joined the A13.
Emergency services were called to report a collision between a blue Volkswagen Crafter van and a stationary heavy truck.
An air ambulance was also dispatched, but despite all efforts, the man died at the scene.
