Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden was ultimately asked about information about his son Hunter’s foreign relations, and responded by saying he had “ no answer ” and angrily criticizing the journalist who had questioned him.
CBS News reporter Bo Erickson asked Biden the question as the candidate boarded his private jet after an election stopover in Michigan on Friday night, two days after the New York Post broke the story of the bomb.
‘Mr. Biden, what’s your response to the New York Post story about your son, sir? Erickson asked.
“I know you would,” Biden replied warmly, wearing two masks. “I don’t have an answer, it’s another smear campaign, down your aisle, these are the questions you always ask.
Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden responded with fury on Friday night, when a reporter finally asked him about emails revealing his son’s external relations.
It came two days after numerous emails from Hunter started posting showing the candidate’s son in lucrative business deals overseas. Hunter is seen with Biden above in 2016
ABC News host George Stephanopoulos, a former Democratic adviser on Thursday evening, sparked controversy by refusing to ask questions about Hunter’s emails during a 90-minute town hall.
Biden’s campaign previously responded to the Post’s report with a statement saying, “ Joe Biden has conducted official US policy towards Ukraine and has not done any wrongdoing. ”
Hunter’s emails were provided by Rudy Giuliani to The New York Post after an owner of a computer repair store said he found them on a hard drive.
The store owner said a man he couldn’t identify brought three computers to his store for repair last fall and never got them back. He said he then made a copy of the emails and images on the hard drives, and provided them to the FBI and Giuliani, Trump’s attorney.
The emails suggest that Biden, who has consistently denied being informed or involved in his son’s business dealings, was more involved than he previously admitted.

The email mine has a series of political shockwaves, including:
- The laptop was revealed to include a photo of Hunter with what appears to be a crack pipe, and an 11-minute sex and drug video that remains to be seen;
- Donald Trump seized the liberation – orchestrated by his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani – to call his rival “a corrupt politician”;
- Senate Republicans said they would investigate the first slice of emails, from Hunter’s Ukrainian business partners, which appear to show that a Burisma energy executive was introduced to Joe Biden while he was vice -President;
- A report identified that Joe Biden is the person named in the emails as the “big guy” who would receive a 10% stake in a deal with a Chinese energy company;
- Democrats accuse Giuliani of peddling “disinformation” and “parading with a Russian agent.”
Twitter added to the controversy by blocking links to articles about the revelations, a move the social media platform later overturned.
President Donald Trump claimed on Friday that Biden had a “ very poor performance ” at his town hall with ABC’s Stephanopoulos and criticized the network for not asking about Hunter.
Sleepy Joe Biden performed very poorly last night despite @GStephanopoulos not asking him any questions about being a ‘corrupt politician’. Big Tech and Lamestream Media are working hard to hide this corruption !!! Trump wrote.
Stephanopoulos and ABC News did not respond to the attack.

The FBI is reportedly investigating whether Hunter’s emails are part of a foreign influence operation, although Giuliani claims foreign sources did not provide Hunter Biden’s emails.
He says a laptop containing the emails and intimate photos was simply abandoned in a Delaware repair shop and the store owner contacted Giuliani’s attorney.
The emails surfaced as U.S. officials warned that Russia, which backed Trump’s 2016 campaign through Democratic email hacking and a covert social media campaign, is interfering again this year.
The Washington Post reported Thursday that intelligence agencies warned the White House last year that Giuliani was the target of a Russian influence operation.
The assessment was based on information, including intercepted communications, showing that Giuliani had been in contact with people linked to Russian intelligence services, four intelligence sources told the newspaper.
The report says National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien warned Trump that the information Giuliani reported from Ukraine should be considered contaminated by Russia, but that Trump brushed off the warning.
Biden leads Trump in most major polls both nationally and in critical battlefield states. In the RealClearPolitics poll average, Biden leads Trump by 9 points.
